On the day appointments
For on-the-day appointments, we have availability starting at 8 am daily, Monday to Friday. Kindly contact our reception on 0161 213 1970 to secure your appointment promptly.
In the event that all on-the-day slots are filled, we are committed to providing alternative options. You may be offered an appointment at our extended access site, advised to call 111, or directed to A&E if deemed appropriate.
Ensuring patient safety is our priority, and to maintain this, we must limit the number of on-the-day appointments. Rest assured, in urgent situations, the surgery will always strive to offer a suitable alternative.
Requesting an appointment
You can request an appointment with a doctor or other healthcare professional online (Monday to Friday).
We will respond to requests within 2 working days during opening times.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.
Nurse or healthcare assistant appointments
You can request a routine appointment with a nurse or healthcare assistant up to 2 weeks in advance.
We will respond to requests within 2 working days during opening times.
You can also:

- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) or Patient Access to book an appointment, screening test or vaccination
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

Get medical advice from a doctor or nurse
To ask a non-urgent medical question:
- fill out an ask a doctor a question form
- fill out an ask a nurse a question form
We aim to respond within 2 working days during opening times.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
Routine GP appointment slots are for 10 minutes.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- using the GP online system: Patient Access
- phone us on 0161 213 1970 during opening times
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter (please give 72 hours notice)
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
If you find yourself unable to leave your home and require an appointment, we offer the convenience of a home visit, granted that you reside within our designated catchment area. Prior to scheduling the visit, we will reach out to you by phone to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs.
To initiate a home visit request, we recommend contacting the surgery promptly on 0161 213 1970, ideally shortly after 8 am, this ensures a smoother process in accommodating your specific requirements.
